Road Safety Week.

This week is Road Safety week.
We are learning to be safe on and around the road.

We spent time with Constable Wansink learning how to safely cross the road.

We remember to hold hands with an adult.
We stop, look and listen before we cross the road.
We look both ways.
You can watch us safely crossing the road.

We also talked about where to safely cross around Torbay School.
We should cross at the top Zebra crossing or the Kea Crossing.

We think we could say "I think we should cross at the crossing because it is much safer."

Our poem this week is also about Road Safety.

Here are some things we learnt this week:
Nash learnt to look both ways.
Adam learnt to walk quickly when we were crossing the road.
Tillie learnt to not look at her feet but to look both sides for cars.
Chloe learnt to not run across the road.
Shaneel learnt to hold hands when we cross the road.
Kobe learnt to go across the rad when the crossing guards say " Cross Now"
Reuben learnt to Stop, Look and Listen and to look both ways.
